Title: 'Nunney Castle' in South/West Wales this Saturday (22/05)
Post by: IanC on May 18, 2010, 22:22:54

Taken from today's South Wales Echo:-

'Trainspotters are being advertised to look out for a famous steam engine passing through South Wales on Saturday. The steam locomotive 'Nunney Castle' will drive a train called the Southern Irishman from Newport, passing through Cardiff at around 9.35am on Saturday, before continuing along the main line to West Wales, and returning at around 7.15pm.

The 1934-built 'Nunney Castle' was a Great Western Railway steam engine that hauled trains carrying children evacuated from London during WWII.
