Title: Southampton - Swindon 30/09/2007
Post by: martyjon on September 30, 2007, 21:34:47
30/09/2007.

From the FGW ;-

20:24 Southampton Central to Swindon due 22:29
This train has been cancelled. This is due to a member of train crew being unavailable.
Customers are advised to travel on the 20:56 service from Southampton Central to Bath Spa, and change at Bath Spa for replacement road transport through to Swindon.

On the Service Incidents bulletin on which this was listed all 8 out the 8 Service Incidents were due to a member of train crew being unavailable.

What about passengers for Melksham, where do they alight for their road replacement transport, Westbury, Trowbridge, Bradford on Avon or do they have to travel to Bath and are taxied from there to Melksham, travel on the stated road replacement transport to Swindon and then taxi from there, travel on the stated road replacement which will call at Chippenham and then taxi from there ???

I hope Mr Haines is reading this forum and realises what a shambles he has inherited.
