Title: Newquay closure.... Post by: oooooo on October 25, 2007, 20:46:03 Having re-opened this morning having been closed for engineering work the Newquay branch is again closed this evening due to a 'lineside fire'. Last trip over the branch cancelled due to a fire in the old lime kiln adjacent to St.Blazey Bridge Crossing. Current estimate is for the line to remain closed until 18:00 Friday while the fire brigade 'cool down' some gas cylinders. The old limekiln is some sort of builders yard now. The main A390 through St.Blazey is also currently closed.
