Better if the line to Birmingham went via Heathrow as well. Save some connecting lines and would cut out the needless row with the Chilterns inhabitants

Ah the infamous West curve I bet the station is in the Poyle / Richings Park area

As far as I know the station will be the exisiting Terminal 5 Heathrow Express terminus, made into a through station.

It does give extra capacity on the Relief lines as trains going via the Airport could be overtaken between Hayes and Iver. Hopefully it will be a flying/burrowing Juction to avoid conflict to both Mains and Relief. Well I can dream that we might build a proper railway one day.

So long as they don't divert all the Taplow and Burham trains that way!

At least some use will be made of the Airtrack platforms.
