(Those were the days when research meant reading books and documents - not Wikipedia :P) Whilst he was busy trying to get his atmospheric railway working on the South Devon Railway he was put up by the 11th Earl of Devon, William Reginald Courtney (one of the sponsors of the SDR) at Powderham Castle. Some historical documents say that IKB and his wife Mary were housed in the Belvedere folly. No. 4 is the odd one out as it is beyond the terminus at London Waterloo on the line from Waterloo East to Charing Cross.
