P.S.  h) and i) are within walking distance of each other ...

i Ashton Station on the Victoria Stalybridge line?

Else it's the nearby ghost station.

Gawd I wouldn't walk that far ;-)

Your second suggestion may have been Mayfield ... goodness, that's an interesting case.

5: Frampton UWC (User Worked Crossing) in the Golden Valley.

Sorry, it isn't ...

Looks more like Titfield Thunderbolt country to me. Freshford, maybe?

Much, much closer, Phil!

I knew it was somewhere on the Manchester Metrolink by the style of overheads (how sad is that) and just followed all of the routes on Google Maps until I found that curve Roll Eyes Cheesy Grin Wink

Almost as sad as me ... I'm staying with that view again this very night - and I was so happy to get an even number room (view of tram) rather than an odd number (view of car park).

Are we allowed our second attempts yet?  I know the 24 hours isn't quite up yet Grin

Yes, please feel free to fill 'em all in now ...

Just "h" and "i" to go ... and I really thought that they would be quite easy ones.

Crossposted from HOME ...

OK  - this is my last attempt - not Montparnasse, or Austerlitz so must be St Lazare (to my surprise if correct, but many years since I've been there)

Yep ... "g" in the away quiz is Paris St Lazare ... where I had just arrived from Cherbourg.   Then on via Frankfurt to Nurnberg ...

so (g) is Paris (St Lazare)

g) Gare de l'Est is next door to Nord (and has a Platform 27 which Lyon does not) so let's have a stab at that

I love "la tour de Paris".  Sorry - it's not l'Est (help ... you have me in doubt now ... I left through l"Est on the trip I took this photo on).   Can you think of another Paris station with that many platforms  Wink ?

g) - sorry - not Gare de Lyon
h) - no.  Why do you say "metre gauge"??  Perhaps it looks like that from the picture, but it isn't!

No. 1 is indeed Bathampton Junction (sorry - not Wantage!)

Shot in the dark: Zurich Hbf for (f)?

VERY dark.  Think you may have the wrong letter (but none is Zurich anyway!)

I think f is in Northern Ireland, but not having been there, I don't know whereabouts.

I'm not going to deny that.  But it was supposed to look like a 150 2xx and confuse ...  Wink
