indeed, and that's what the investigation will explore.

There has to be one, otherwise there might be a next time & that train might be a lot closer than 0.25 of a mile away....

Procedures are there to be followed.

Assuming the suspension is with pay, this is correct procedure in any safety-critical situation where procedures aren't followed.

There's not yet any mention of discipline procedure being applied and the suspension is to allow an investigation to take place.

9006  All across the Great Western territory / Fare's Fair / Re: Thames Valley ranger tickets on: September 05, 2013, 14:12:15
Definitely not from a TVM (Ticket Vending Machine), just like any rover.

Think it has to be got from a FGW (First Great Western)-served station at least, but please tell me I'm wrong!
9007  All across the Great Western territory / Fare's Fair / Re: 10% off Advances - FGW website on: September 05, 2013, 12:37:21
I'm looking at fares DID» (Didcot Parkway - next trains)-TAU» (Taunton - next trains) for early on 5 October.

On the advance fare offering, I can see no difference in fares on the app or the website - for example, the 0812 has identical fares at ^20.50 STD and ^30.50 1st.

Am I missing something? I understood the website (only!) was meant to be 10% cheaper!
9008  All across the Great Western territory / Fare's Fair / Re: FGW - carnet tickets for Oxford and the Cotswolds on: September 05, 2013, 12:35:28
Chiltern to my knowledge did away with the carnet on the Bicester Town - Oxford route when they took it on from FGW (First Great Western).

His/her line manager represents their employer, and that is the reason it wouldn't be acceptable.

Those of us posting here have no relationship (working or otherwise) with these members of staff and thus are able to comment just as we can comment on any other TV programme and those that appear in them....

Nearly a 40% decrease in seating then.

Indeed, one can work a way to politely indicate that if they have a non-flexible ticket, they will have a reserved seat, and if it's flexible, well, there's always a choice to arrive early(ier) or get the next one....

9015  All across the Great Western territory / Fare's Fair / Re: London Underground Rail Replacement Buses & Oyster PAYG on: September 01, 2013, 15:57:29
If you are unable to validate a journey - that is your protection. You can't. It is TfL» (Transport for London - about)'s job to supply LT buses with validators or you get a free trip in circumstances like this.

If you tweet, you might ask TfL that way....
