Pretty much the same as what any redevelopment of a 'public' area does - nothing.

Mind you, there's been no press release or info on what they're doing at PLY» (Plymouth - next trains) at the moment anywhere

Unfortunately the paper's online version is beyond a paywall, but today's Plymouth Sunday Independent ran a front page story about a fire extinguisher thrown from a train, smashing a HST (High Speed Train) cab window.
