We may be talking about different Great Westerns here...! I think the OP▸ refers to the "Merlin" logo as used by Great Western Trains from privatization until it was replaced with the corporate First branding, whereas the post above I think is referring to the old Great Western Railway "GWR▸ ", which well over 60 years after the GWR ceased to exist can still be spotted all over the system.
Yes the sign I refer to features the merlin,

Walking through long rock earlier past fgw depot, noticed the road sign for the depot has a "great western" logo on it. I.e. the one used before first were involved! Is there anywhere else where old logos can be found?

Thanks guys very useful info. Going to make the most of the train now as once I move I won't be able to. I'm moving to st erth, will still be commuting to truro daily, the timetable heading west from.truro in evening peak shows a gap in service from 1720 ish until 1850 ish. I can only think its a joke by fgw, as surely many commuters like myself who finish at 5 in the main area where loads of offices are situated can not get to the station by 1720, and aren't going to wait until almost 7 for a train! It's a 25 min walk from where a lot of offices are situated, perhaps if their was a service at just after 1730 from truro heading west, fgw will see passenger numbers soar!

Is there a weekly fare available? Would be travelling outbound to arrive by 830 returning about 1730 on weekdays. I hold a y.p railcard. I'm moving house to a completly different area imminently so don't want to buy more than a week at a time. A daily ticket due to the peak morning is 3.60. Costs me about 3.00 a day to drive, so trying to find if anyway to find train travel cheaper. I work about 25 min walk from the station, we have a free staff car park. I'm just looking for ways to save money in anyway possible at the moment!

I drove southbound along this stretch of road around 7pm last night, the weather was atrocious, to such an extent i came off the motorway at j25 and visited the sainsburys for a while looking round to allow the weather to calm a little. The rain was so heavy i couldnt see the front of my car, yet people were still driving at I'd estimate 90mph. The dot matrix wasnt in use to show a lower limit (was in use on the m6 in much better conditions). As i reached the A38, the A38 was closed due to a severe accident caused by poor weather conditions

I've been getting a similar problem in the last week or so.... If i check the box that says keep me logged in forever it tells me incorrect password, If i leave the box unchecked it is fine. thoughts are that the software doesnt allow you to remain logged in forever?
