Finally FGW (First Great Western) are taking revenue protection seriously here.

We had a full block on Farnborough North on Monday, North Camp today by the revenue protection team (about 8 of them), and guards doing enhanced checks onboard all week.

Has really sorted out those traveling ticketless- the trains are not half as crowded as usual. Just goes to show how many people are chancing it.

I hope there's more of the same to come.

Another block on at Farnborough this morning. Much tutting from people by the ticket machines, and have seen a couple of people walking away from the station in a huff. means I'll get a seat again today

Hopefully they'll make it to my trains eventually..

Mine was checked TWICE in the space 30 minutes by TWO different inspection teams this morning! They changed at Reading so they did a full train check after departing Reading. Its gone from one extreme to the other!

There were three inspectors on the 8:10am turbo from Maidenhead, so they are in the area Jo!

In the Thames trains days it used to be pretty much every train.. It's what is needed again.. I'll let you know the first time my ticket gets checked.. I reckon sometimes I don't ever show my monthly season ticket (other than on the bus as it's a travelcard)..
