Twelve people have been arrested at Bristol's Temple Meads railway station in an operation to stop illegal drugs passing through into the city.

Police offers carried out a search between 20:00 BST and 22:00 BST on Friday.

A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of cannabis resin with intent to supply.

Among others arrested were six people who were cautioned for possession of class B cannabis.

30 years ago, I knew someone vaguely who used the train to take "supplies" from London to sell in Plymouth, because he thought the risk of getting stopped was much lower than using a car. Still ended up in jail, though. Fool!

I too 'knew someone who knew someone' who used to use National Express to move his 'supplies' around. Thinking that was safer even than the train.

He got busted at Digbeth Coach Station in Birmingham by a West Midlands Police spaniel.... well, it was the spaniel's handler that did the arrest!

Don't they do something similar in the film 'Trainspotting' ?

Which has NOTHING to do with trains, Although a Class 156 and a Loco Hauled Service do feature in the film Wink
