You know something, I hate Buses so much that when they were on strike where I lived I didn't even realise.

Something else buses make me Sick, physically sick, trains don't.

Was on a train once that started to Hunt, must admit that was frightening!

Five years on it seems similar issues are still causing friction

From the the BBC» (British Broadcasting Corporation - home page)

Wilts and Dorset bus drivers vote for strike action

Drivers from the Wilts and Dorset Bus Company have voted to take industrial action over working conditions.

The company, which operates bus routes in Wiltshire, Dorset, Hampshire and Somerset, has not yet been notified of any planned strike date.

The RMT (National Union of Rail, Maritime & Transport Workers) Union said more than two-thirds of its 500 members voted in favour of industrial action.

Wilts and Dorset is to continue discussions with trade unions in a bid to minimise disruption to customers.

The RMT claims staff are facing enforced changes to shifts, leaving them to work "longer and harder hours for less in return for intolerable pressure".

A spokesman for Wilts and Dorset said: "Even if a strike was called, we can assure customers we will be running services and any disruption will be kept to a minimum."
