Seeing as I'm having difficult keeping track with what trains are where, how many 150s/153s/158s does the western division of FGW (First Great Western) have, and if possible, what numbers? (for the rolling stock pages on swlines).

I think the 153's are as follows   305,318,329,361,368,369,370,372,373,377,380,382, 318 is supposed to be going to Northern but don't know if it's gone.

I noticed a thread about 153 318 and is it still here. I had the misfortune of using it today. A scruffy red thing and even the passengers were complaining of its condition. It was on the 1244 from PLY» (Plymouth - next trains) arrived at PZ late and formed the 1450 back to PLY 11'
down.

318 is still here as FarWest got on it today.

Why does no one ever comment on the 165/166 units

I know they may seem like manna fro heaven for those using 142s but on a three hour journey?

I have to say, FGW (First Great Western) aren't doing badly. Even if it was a 142:

The 1030 PGN-EXM was 4 car
The 1044 PGN-EXD» (Exeter St Davids - next trains) (new service) was two car.

That is the silver lining to the cloud that at lest there's more capacity now with 142's. 158762 was in Cornwall today, has been refurbished different to 761, with different seats and the CCTV (Closed Circuit Tele Vision) has been fitted.

Yeh, I was lucky enough to get on it. The seats aren't that comfortable, i thought.

No. They are the kind that offer back support so that means they have bits that poke out. Also a problem with the train in general was that it vibrated alot.
