Hi, sorry this isn't strictly fgw, but does anyone know if any catering outlets will be open at 6am on a Saturday morning? I have the displeasure of travelling with XC (Cross Country Trains (franchise)) whose ontrain catering is crap!

Cheers

For info, the pasty shop in the underpass opens at 6, and indeed did this morning.

Sorry nobody was able to help with your query. That's useful information for any early travellers, and from my limited experience I would concur with your views on XC (Cross Country Trains (franchise)) trains catering.

I don't think any of the outlets on any platform are open that early.

Upper crust wasn't open yesterday at 6am.  Once I found the pasty shop about to open, I didn't bother looking on the other platforms (my train was going from 4 at 06:15)

As I think it may be useful to have a record of the opening times for the various catering/retail outlets at Bristol Temple Meads, I'll do the asking tomorrow morning. I have an hour to kill between trains.

Off the top of my head, the outlets are:

Isambard's (outside main entrance)
WH Smith (Booking Hall)
Bonapartes Cafe Bar (Platform 3)
Upper Crust (Platform 3)
Pumpkin Cafe Shop (Platform 5/7)
Pumpkin Cafe Shop (Platform 10/12)
YogaFruit (subway)
AMT Coffee (subway)
The Pasty Shop (subway)
Starbucks (subway)

I find Wetherspoons round the corner in Temple Quay a good bet for a relatively cheap brekkie - Open 7am Monday to Saturday, 8am Sunday.
