There are posters appearing in Paddington Bakerloo platforms stating the Bakerloo platforms will be closed from the 29 June to late August for escalator work.

Did not have time to day to fully read the posters so I am not sure if its just entry to the platforms that is restricted ie you will still be able elite from trains and exit

The entry on the national rail page for Paddington suggests no entry or exit

Quote
From Sunday 29 June until late August, there will be no access to the Bakerloo Line at London Paddington because of planned escalator improvements work
For Bakerloo line services, please use the following alternative routes:
Walk to Edgware Road (Bakerloo) station. It is about an 11 minute walk from Paddington station
Take local bus 205 from stop H on Praed Street to Marylebone station
Go to Paddington (Hammersmith & City) station for Hammersmith & City or Circle line services to Baker Street station and change for the Bakerloo Line

The way I read the notice today (all over the Bakerloo passages & platforms) was that it was entry to the station from surface which is closed.

Saw the poster earlier and it is affecting entrance only.

Email update from TFL (Transport for London) received this morning:

Dear Mr,

I am writing to let you know that from Sunday 29 June until late August, there will be no entry to the Bakerloo line at Paddington Tube station. This is while we carry out planned improvement work on both escalators as part of our Tube improvements.

To minimise disruption, we will work on one escalator at a time, keeping an up escalator in service. This will enable customers coming from the Bakerloo line to exit or change lines throughout the period. For safety reasons, the central staircase will not be available to access the Bakerloo line platforms.

If you normally start your Bakerloo line journey at Paddington, please use nearby Edgware Road Tube station. Alternatively use the Circle or Hammersmith & City line from Paddington and change at Baker Street for the Bakerloo line.

To find out what is involved in escalator work, please click here

Just to note, for the sake of completeness, the access from Paddington main line station to the Bakerloo line has reopened.
