GWML electrification on BBC South this morning 12/8/2014

On the local news today they had a short segment showing the Brunel factory train in action at night. I don't know how recently this was taken but if you have access to BBC^» (British Broadcasting Corporation - home page) one south it may be on one of the later local news drop ins at 656/726 etc

I'm guessing if you have sky and are out of the BBC South region it MAY be on channel 965 (all of the local channels are on 951 and above, which the exception of the one that is showing on 101)

On the 656 local news the first article was about electrification the second was about trespassing on the railways relating to an I initiative by Network rail to reduce occupancies of this.

Odd that it was also the lead story on BBC^» (British Broadcasting Corporation - home page) Points west at 0656 as well, but not a dicky bird about it on the BBC Bristol website, the Dft, or Bristol Evening Post !. Makes you wonder whether they were just looking for something to fill the time !

Judging by the film clip aired at 1.45pm on Points West, they did. The HOOP train seems to have been dubbed 'Brunel' in the process. At least it wasn't wearing a stove pipe hat, and smoking !. Don't suppose the BBC^» (British Broadcasting Corporation - home page) cameraman were that enamoured being out in the dark and pouring rain at 2am in the morning....
