Strange that I booked a ticket to return from Paddington to Melksham on the evening of 18 July and was guided to the 2015 Cheltenham train, change Swindon, arr. Melksham 2148. This shouldn't be possible according to the timetable! Roll Eyes

You'll note that the timetable shown above says that services may be amended due to engineering work. That's precisely the case on Saturday 18th July 2015.

The amended timetable can be seen here:

https://www.firstgreatwestern.co.uk/-/media/pdf/travel-updates/gw1506%20bath%20timetable%20v4.pdf?la=en

Page 12 shows the service to Melksham departing Swindon at 2122. That's a valid connection (8 minutes) from the 2015 London Paddington - Swindon service.

December 2015 to May 2016.    Note that certain Weymouth connections change from 28th March due to the earlier start of the summer (Sunday) service on that line in 2016.

You'll be needing to update your Facebook profile picture soon, as it will no longer be accurate ("up to 16 trains a day"). Grin
