A belated comment regarding the latest station usage figures (https://dataportal.orr.gov.uk/statistics/usage/estimates-of-station-usage) but I notice that in terms of entries and exits, Hanborough has overtaken Charlbury. Twenty years ago, more than three times as many used Charlbury than Hanborough.

Moreton-in-Marsh is now the most used station between Oxford and Worcester with 269K entries and exits, then Hanborough 262K, Charlbury 257K, Evesham 245K and Kingham 206K.

Figures haven't quite yet reached the pre-Covid and opening of Oxford Parkway levels but are looking quite healthy. Kingham's figure of over 200K is certainly a recent record high (based on data from Wikipedia).

Anecdotally, lots of previously five-days-a-week Charlbury passengers are now working from home much, or indeed most, of the time. I suspect the demographics of the place are particularly susceptible to that.

The ongoing carnage that is Oxford traffic has probably done Hanborough custom a lot of good too!
