It appears that the Greenford service has been prematurely recast and has been for a few days now:
Quote
15:45 London Paddington to Greenford due 16:10 
This train will be cancelled.
This is due to damage to the overhead electric wires.

Quote
15:59 West Ealing to Greenford due 16:11
An additional train service has been planned to operate as shown 21/06/16 15:59 West Ealing to Greenford due 16:11.
This is due to damage to the overhead electric wires

These changes are now dominating the GWR (Great Western Railway) Journey Check.

I appreciate that this is a result of the derailment and OHL (Over-Head Line) stanchion collision at PAD» (Paddington (London) - next trains) but I can't quite work out the direct connection.  I don't see the capacity constraints now at PAD. Any clues please from those within?

NRE(resolve) was tweeting this morning that the Greenfords were on a half-hour service. Isn't that the usual timetable?

Lines 1 and 2 are closed to electric traction so the capacity issue is for electric trains. To assist with this capacity issue the Greenfords are starting/terminating at West Ealing instead of Paddington.

Network Rail are doing some work this evening which all going well, will mean full access is restored on approach to Paddington which will allow a full service to run from tomorrow.

Heathrow Express have been leaving Paddington on the relief lines and then crossing back over to the main at Acton.
