Sorry for the delay in replying. The line has been cleared for use ahead of a few gauging modifications needed at Moreton bridge, between Saundersfoot and Tenby, and Tenby station itself.

I was on the 1535 from Tenby on Saturday and passenger figures were reasonable for this time of year - the morning departure to Paddington is always the busier of the two trains.

Both return services on Saturday used HSTs (High Speed Train).

So after years of people spreading rumors of no direct Paddington to Pembroke service, and a 150 replacing the Camarthen to Pembroke part, it all turned out to be false Huh

Been a long time since the Pembroke Coast Express has been cancelled due to train crew shortage but sadly today it has:

07:23 Swansea to Pembroke Dock due 09:44
07:23 Swansea to Pembroke Dock due 09:44 will be cancelled.
This is due to a shortage of train crew.

10:01 Pembroke Dock to London Paddington due 15:32
10:01 Pembroke Dock to London Paddington due 15:32 will be started from Swansea.
It will no longer call at Pembroke Dock, Pembroke, Manorbier, Tenby, Saundersfoot, Whitland, Carmarthen, Pembrey & Burry Port and Llanelli.
This is due to a shortage of train crew.

The morning up PCE was also cancelled between Cardiff and Paddington, again due to staff problems, meaning this named train managed only Swansea - Cardiff today.

Just read in Ukrailforums the train then went onto Paddington ECS (Empty Coaching Stock) leaving passengers to sort themselves out to get to London. Poor.
