Back to near normal this morning.  After a day of massive disruption for Chiltern's passengers yesterday, though at least they were able to turnback at West Ruislip and Harrow-On-The-Hill, with associated tube connections, so it wasn't quite as bad as it might have been!

Indeed, good work by NR» (Network Rail - home page) to get the 10 multi-core cables affected back up within 24 hours - they actually managed to run MYB (London (Marylebone))-WRU shuttles late last night too.

A fair amount of stock was out of place this morning leading to many short-forms. But few, if any, complete cancellations which was good work by Chiltern too.

Station info yesterday was the one downer in this - almost non-existent at many stations until mid-morning left pax on platforms awaiting non-existent trains. It didn't help that the live feed info into the apps wasn't working properly yesterday either.

There was a big data outage yesterday affecting ATOS and the information platforms it provides for.  I'm guessing that's connected to the live feed problems?  Reassuring to know that it's not just GWR (Great Western Railway) that can't handle PIDD (Passenger Information During Disruption) (Passenger Information During Disruption).

They've actually retarded the PIDD (Passenger Information During Disruption) info in that they were excellent not so long ago.....but they're slowly losing the plot as their franchise matures. Shame really.
