Cancellations to services between Reading and Slough
Due to a person being hit by a train between Reading and Slough all lines are blocked.
Impact: Train services running to and from these stations may be cancelled, delayed by up to 90 minutes or revised. Disruption is expected until 18:30 25/10.

Perhaps some tweets have been deleted, ChrisB ... with some trepidation I took a look and really the only extra info aside from pictures of the emergency services there was a confirmation that the person has passed away, and that as yet they're unidentified; that latter may be providing some sort of snippet for people who may have a link to the people potentially involved. |

It may be innocuous, but it's still ambulance chasing. GWR▸ / NR» & BTP▸ presumably disseminated the information quite rapidly by the appropriate media, so why would some half baked journo need to hover about outside the station making a minor nuisance of herself? Unless she's after some gore, though I suspect she'd not be tweeting very much if she witnessed what BTP, ambulance and train/station staff saw today. |

It's her job, and I guess it's a quiet News day..........local newspapers are rarely the destination of Pulitzer prizes. |

This is some of the worst disruption I have experienced in a long time. That is in terms of time since the original incident, services that are able to run and overcrowding at Paddington.

It happened at just about the worst time of day in terms of number of people and services to be effected, and it's now nearly an hour after the original feed said that disruption would carry on until - and still some lines haven't been handed back. Could be several reasons for that - starting with something like it being a freight train involved, and no stand-in freight driver who knows that traction for miles around ... |
