Kicking around to work with CRPs (Community Rail Partnership) at the moment - lots of talk about resources but no indication if they're a charity, a for-profit company, a government based quango ...

Q   What is National Schools Partnership?
A   National Schools Partnership works to encourage and support businesses and other organisations to establish programmes that benefit schools. Our school programmes and resources help teachers and school leaders to deliver curriculum objectives as well as the aims of wider education and government agendas. In putting together teaching resources or materials to send out to schools we liaise closely with education professionals to ensure that they are in line with current educational requirements. Teachers registered with us have priority over any new resources. All our work is guided by our School Rules; a code of conduct that ensures we tread the right path.

Q   Who established the National Schools Partnership?
A   National Schools Partnership was established in 2004 by a team of professional parents with strong ties to schools and business marketing communities. The Chief Executive has worked closely with schools and education professionals for more than a decade as well as leading two successful businesses. He is closely supported by an excellent team of experienced educational professionals, commercial staff and consultants. In that time over 25,000 schools have benefited from programmes and resources established in conjunction with companies such as Garnier Ambre Solaire, M&S, Disney, Arla and Innocent.

Anyone have any experience of them / can help me establish if / how we could / should be following up on their approach to the CRP.   Out of my field ...

This from the TES gives more about who pays them - which the NSP themselves are pathologically reticent about, so much so that you wonder if the ASA at least should be leaning on them.

I'm not surprised they're reticent to make that information freely available.

This "providing knowledge and experience to brands in order to reach into the school community and the family market" combined with this "Disney, Renault, Johnson & Johnson, Garnier, Birds Eye, Lego, and Virgin" makes me feel rather uncomfortable about what's going on.
