It's obviously based on the way road traffic is counted for planning applications - you will still see the rubber tubes across the road, but video is probably commoner now. Indeed, if you look up MHC Traffic, its web site offers to count traffic of several kinds, and other thing such as pedestrians too.

Video coverage is probably more accurate, as ridden horses, for example, have been known to 'walk on' carefully over those rubber tubes, as if they were a cattle grid.  Wink

William Huskisson MP▸ (Member of Parliament) was the first person to be killed by a train while crossing the tracks, in 1830.  Many more have died in the same way since then.  Don't take a chance: stop, look, listen.
