Time was when you couldn't travel by train from Melksham ... picture from the 1970s

But now you can reach thousands of destination in the British Isles and beyond ... and in recent years I have personally made many journeys.

I've put a new quiz online at http://www.wellho.net/network/ which invites you to identify some of the places I've been ... each time you take the quiz you'll be offered a different 15 places from my library of over 170 pictures, taken at over 150 different locations.

Please try the quiz - multiple times if you like

Please post up scores and comments ... I will be going outside the forum to publicise it wider in a few days and would like to know of spelling mistakes, how hard it is, etc ahead of time.   And judging by comments on a previous "know your Melksham" quiz using the same software , one or two of you may get hooked!

13/15 for my first attempt, although a few were educated guesses having discounted a couple of answers. Very surprised at the two incorrect answers though as I should have got them  Roll Eyes

It's a fairly tough one ... 13 is pretty good (and 8 isn't be be sneezed at either).    I suspect if the quiz was put together by someone else, I would have only got 6 or 7.  If it goes well / is popular, I might do another one at a later date inviting someone else to provide the data!

That is darned good going ... it's not an easy quiz.  The randomness of the questions means that you can have another go too ... I know you would do well again ...

I had another go, 13/15 this time, but 3 of those were repeats from my first go, of which I got 1 wrong first time around.

It's random ... so you will get a few repeats. As you try more and more, you'll see more repeats - initially 2 or 3 for the first few goes.   I am not logging who gets what by cookie or anything like that (not using cookies!) so can't eliminate duplicates.

13 out of 15 counts as "very good"  Grin

Taunton was  too easy when the other 3 multiple choices were Doncaster, Grimsby and Barnsley and a GWR (Great Western Railway) HST (High Speed Train) is sat waiting,

I'm going to review later before I do another quiz ... but there was certainly a deliberate attempt to have some easy, some difficult and some fiendish!

One of the TfL» (Transport for London - about) locations. The slightly blurry one with the S Stock train. Sufficiently blurry to not be able to discern the name on the roundel in the background.
