I'm looking to put together a "South Coast" promotions from Swindon / Chippenham / Melksham - some excellent day trips, to Brokenhurst and Lymington, to Bournemouth, to Poole, and to Wareham for Swanage.

I'm slightly stymied by the fares - looking for good prices for day returns which aren't too complicated as I'm looking to attract newcomers, and to promote alongside day trips to Weymouth which however, only connect nicely on a Sunday.

Swindon to Weymouth - £17.50 day return via Yeovil.   What can members suggest as fares to the other south coast towns?

Can you include Mendedhurst as well or did you mean Brockenhurst?

Perhaps Graham was referring to playing a round of golf

Graham was actually looking for fares to Wareham for Swanage ... for when the diesel service to Swanage is running, to help promote that.   Melksham to Wareham is significantly more expensive than Trowbridge to Wareham via Salisbury, but the same price via Dorchester West.  And "any route" is hideously costly so don't try a round trip.   I suspect my advise will be "via Salisbury and Split" due to the vagaries of the connections along the old Wilts, Somerset and Weymouth route.

I note your last sentence, but is there no possibility of Trans-Wilts to Dorchester West, then walk to Dorchester South for a split ticket to Wareham?
