The Truro City of Lights event due to take place tonight, 22 November, has been postponed until a yet to be disclosed date in January 2018 owing to forecast bad weather.

The pre-ordered standby buses have been withdrawn but train services will remain as advertised.

I was in Truro this evening at a rugby disciplinary, and guess what, the forecast weather had cleared by around 1530, and it’s been dry since.

William Huskisson MP (Member of Parliament) was the first person to be killed by a train while crossing the tracks, in 1830.  Many more have died in the same way since then.  Don't take a chance: stop, look, listen.

Date confirmed as 31-Jan-2018. Massive effort in train to get a pre-Christmas feeling. If it works it'll be a masterstroke for businesses at a low point in the year. If not .........
