Has one of GWR (Great Western Railway)'s new trains been involved in a fatality at Uffington today. Two trains currently stuck at said location, 1L42, Carmarthen to Paddington and 5Z19 North Pole to Taunton.

Thoughts with the driver as always.

5Z19 was brought alongside at caution to assist the driver on the train from Carmarthen.

Several trains diverted via the Berks & Hants including the 10:00 from London Paddington to Paignton which was just behind 5Z19.  Driver changed ends and took the train back to Reading before going via Newbury and Westbury to Bath and Bristol Temple Meads, where the train was terminated 72 minutes late.

1L42 0730 Carmarthen to Paddington eventually terminated at Didcot Parkway at 1310 - 144 minutes late
5Z19 was cancelled at Uffington and returned to North Pole Depot
