SWR» (South Western Railway - about) Journey ccheck shows a severe lack of guards this afternoon, mainly on the Portsmouth line.

Some Portsmouth diagrams interwork with destinations such as Basingstoke & Alton, hence some of those services are also affected.

Nothing to do with the low tunnels on the Isle of Wight line?  Short guards would be a distinct advantage there.
