I am travelling to Penzance from Trowbridge tomorrow morning, booked on the 0954 to Westbury thence on the 1009 to Plymouth.  None of the journey planners are now showing this.  The service from Westbury is the diverted and retimed 0903 from Paddington.  Realtime trains shows this as operating to its normal schedule via Newbury.  Open train times will not show any departures from Westbury tomorrow morning.  Is my service still operating?  Any advice?

Real Time Trains shows via Swindon and Melksham as VAR to it's schedule.    When did you look at RTT» (Real Time Trains - website) ?

I've looked at real time trains ... yes, shows 12:20 as first train off Westbury to me. Odd, bearing in mind PhilE's post

Is your ticket Advance?   If not, I would be tempted to go via Bristol and Cross Country to avoid being left stranded for hours.

Would also ask on Twitter, Facebook, call National Rail and see if they give you consistent or conflicting answers.

Just looked again now.  It ran today, it's shown on Wednesday and Thursday but missing tomorrow, still shown via Newbury

GWR (Great Western Railway) special offer ticket so not valid on Cross Country.  The other alternative is to leave earlier and change at Castle Cary. Don't do Twitter. Contacted GWR on Messenger and awaiting a reply

RTT» (Real Time Trains - website) shows 1C74 as running via Swindon on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.
On Tuesday 13th, RTT still shows the "normal" timetable. Perhaps someone missed altering that one?

Not much help, rogerw, but it will be interesting to see what happens.

I've Tweeted GWR (Great Western Railway) and they have difficulty in understanding the question.   After asking varioys questions we just come back to square one.   They say the schedule is in there but I have told them twice that the train can't run via Newbury.

I to have had a lengthy exchange with GWR (Great Western Railway) who can't answer the question as to why no westbury (or Swindon) stop. They even suggested catching the Weymouth train and picking up the Plymouth service at Castle Cary. They have now suggested I contact them again in the morning when they can check with control.  I will check in the morning but I suspect that someone has omitted to enter the amended service into the database and that the train will run

They have replied to me that it will be passed to Control to update as necessary.   Simple explanation, as you say, just missed to alter the schedule.
