The first meeting of a new think tank to discuss the big issues facing Bath takes place on Monday (link below.)

The inaugural gathering of Better Bath will put the political hot potato of housing under the spotlight.

Better Bath has been set up as a forum where people can talk about the city's future.

Its first meeting is at 6pm for 6.30pm at St Michael's Church, in Broad Street.

More than 200 people attended the first Better Bath Forum event this week, with a debate on housing.

The next meeting will be on Tuesday April 15 at 6pm for 6.30pm at St Michael's Church in Broad Street.

The theme will be: Traffic and pollution - what do we want for Bath?

Bath and North East Somerset Council's director of planning and transport development David Trigwell will describe the authority's vision for transport over the next 20 years.

The council is involved in a series of bids for Government funding to improve bus, park-and-ride and rail services and Mr Trigwell will outline some of the options for the future if these are successful.
