On 30th April I posted "10 days in the life of".   The last 10 days have been busy too ...

Utterly mixed up pictures but all relating to a wide variety of ways we have been getting around.   My thanks to Ann and John for the pictures in which I feature!

I spotted you photting a vehicle I was climbing off as I was in the doorway.

I was with 2 quieter forum members, apologies for not introducing you to them!

Good to briefly see you yesterday.   Had to dash for a bus.   For those not "in the know", it was Chippenham Bus Running Day - when the old vehicles come out to play.  If a looked taken aback, you were just a little bit of a long way from home.

It's good to look back and learn (or to remember) how things used to be, and to catch up with friends old and new, some of whom are public transport professionals taking the day as a busman's holiday.   I enjoyed a trip to Lyneham, admired the work done by the teams who look after these vehicles to the extent they were turned out smarter than many modern buses, and recalled just how different passenger metrics are requirements are on heritage days / runs and in the normal course of travel.

P.S. Always happy to say hello and meet members ... appreciate that saying "hello" to the old boy in the bright yellow T shirt ...
