Crazy journey into Bristol this morning

Just after 8am it was reported there was a trespasser on the line around Bedminster station. BTP (British Transport Police) arrived on scene and the guy was reportedly in a very bad mental state

Next report is that is was on a bridge over Bedminster station - but I think he'd actually climbed up the signalling tower by the South end of the station.

He was eventually "talked down" about 1115 and the lines re-opened

I got as far as Parson Street where trains were using both up and down lines to terminate before coaches were laid on to take people onto Temple Meads.

I got on at WSM for the 0835, and got off at Parson Street at 1020.
Terminating trains were those as early as the 0737 from WSM

Gladly the guy was not harmed and hopefully he is now receiving all the best care he can

This was not helped by the advice to disrupted passengers again to use bus services that no longer exist or don't go where they say they do (X5 and X6A).  I have noted this on this forum before and wonder if anyone working in the Disruption Department has any idea of how to use Traveline to check bus services or they lazily trot out what happened last time even though that was based on what happened the time before etc.
