Sunday 10 June 2018.

Metrobus don't run SUNDAYS.

Quote
20:53 Bristol Temple Meads to Clifton Down due 21:06
20:53 Bristol Temple Meads to Clifton Down due 21:06 will be cancelled.
This is due to a shortage of train conductors.
Additional Information
Customers who hold a valid rail ticket can travel on First West of England bus services along the line, these are:

Routes 1 and 2: Bristol (Temple Meads Stop Tj) Clifton Down (Whiteladies Road).

Route 3: Bristol (City Centre, Union Street) Clifton Down (Whiteladies Road) Sea Mills (Coombe Lane) Shirehampton (The Green) Avonmouth (McLaren Road), St Andrews Road (Kings Weston Lane).

Route 4: Bristol (City Centre, Union Street) Clifton Down (Whiteladies Road) Sea Mills (Shirehampton Road) Shirehampton (The Green).

Route 9: Bristol (Temple Meads Stop Ta) Redland (Redland Grove) Clifton (Whiteladies Road).

Route 70: Bristol (Temple Meads Stop Tc) Montpelier (Colstons Girls School) Filton Abbey Wood (Filton Avenue).

Route 72: Bristol (Temple Meads Stop Ta) Redland (Redland Grove) Filton Abbey Wood (Filton Avenue).

Further details of bus times and routes can be found at www.firstgroup.com/bristol-bath-and-west/.

Two cheers ... in that alternative arrangements are in place, and that we're being told we can use them. For a third cheer, I would love to know which ones are recommended for the particular cancellation - or do they all run on Sunday evenings?

I have a suspicion that grahame may actually be familiar with the concept of a timetable. Not wishing to put words in his mouth, I wonder if he was just trying to stimulate a debate?

He was making the point that the alternatives are not easily filtered out and wondering if there might be a more tuned way ...

"There are departures on route 2 from Temple Meads at 20:45 and 21:15 for Clifton Down, and at 20:50 on route 70 for Montpelier" might b a useful addendum.

I have no easy way of checking this being on a limited connection at the moment - but the folks who put up the JourneyCheck stuff presumably have a dedicated office and facilities designer to help them, so should be able to do it. And they have a better chance of understanding the geography and picking out the wood from the trees.

It has recently been pointed out to GWR (Great Western Railway) via Twitter that several bus services quoted on Journey Check, especially on the Severn Beach line, are incorrect, some of them now obsolete.   Reply passed back to be investigated and updated
