There are bus stop facilities at Cranbrook railway station but these are not currently in use. ...

I had wondered if Melksham was the only railway station with a bus stop but no buses.  Are there any others?

"Almost as bad" ... Westbury, where the station bus stop has 4 services a day on a rural route to Devizes ... and nothing else. With the timetable at the bus stop warning you that the final service only goes to Market Lavington. Actually it goes on as required to Devizes these days, but that's only for people "in the know"; most people will be in 'the know' - few newcomer expected as the GWR (Great Western Railway) "Guide to Service" tells you to reach Devizes by connecting off the train at Salisbury or at Swindon.

The stop nearest Mortimer station is used as a terminus and is only served twice a day by a school service which never waits there as it would block the road. Pangbourne might still have a flag outside but no service has been there for at least 15 years.

The stops on the Reading - Wokingham line aren't served directly. Earley, you have to find your way from Wokingham Road, Winnersh Triangle similar (unless you use the park and ride) and Winnersh similar.

My crystal ball doesn't give a definitive answer to the mythical station at Green Park.

Green Park is intended to have bus facilities from the start. Presumably the current services for the Mad Stad will call there

Well, sort of - the only daily services there are the Greenwaves serving the P&R (Park and Ride). But the same buses already run via Green Park, along Longwater Avenue, so are almost at the station site. I think road access to the station will be from the new roundabout on Longwater Avenue, so it would makes sense to nip in from there. Obviously the station plus new housing may call for further route changes as and when Reading Buses see the need.

Reading Borough Council here rather than Reading Buses. The Greenwave services to Green Park, the Football ground and Mereoak park and ride are rather bizarrely organised by the council and Reading buses simply have the contract to run them, hence the ridiculously confusing number of route numbers and variations that only those who have studied the timetable for hours on end can understand.

There are dedicated Greenwave services to Green Park Village where the station is situated off Longwater avenue(route 52 and 53). Most of these however run fast to/from Green Park (no pickup/setdown on route) to central Reading (approx. 15 mins) so will be in competition with the rail service when it begins. With the rail service being approx. 8 min I would expect changes to the bus service.

Pangbourne has regular services provided by Going Forward Buses. They started 2 years ago. There is a timetable at the station. During winter months the 142/148 only runs on Tuesdays but in the Summer it provides a convenient route to Beale Park.

Going Forward have been really innovative in terms of trying to generate and meet demand for rail passengers, especially at Goring where buses will wait for delayed trains to serve passengers heading for nearby villages.

What about bus stops with no buses.
Cornwall council recently painted a giant yellow bus stop marking on a side road in the hamlet of Windmill near padstow. No buses service that side road and all use just the main road.

Wokingham council once installed Kassel kerbs on the wrong side of a one way terminal loop.

Reading council renewed a set down only bus stop flag on the turning circle at Henley Road County boundary a decent ten years after the last bus had turned there by the company they own. It was no longer useable because of overgrown trees and parked cars.

South Oxfordshire council changed the layout at the Peppard Common Unicorn terminus so buses could no longer U turn. It appears they had absolutely no idea that buses even used it, it was changed back a couple of weeks later with the addition of a bus only section of road.

There are a couple of shelters around the town too that no longer see any service.
