From my postbag ... what can I say?

Quote
Well another spectacular special by great Western.

It bus for the first service on Sunday from trowbridge to Chippenham then train.

This is the best bit it an hour wait for the train from Chippenham to Swindon.

As this bus doesn't connect with the 919 service even those the bus is suppose to arrive at 915. Let hope the bus driver puts his foot down.

This first service is getting busier on Sunday so all it takes is the bus to be plan 10 mins earlier so that it does make the connection.

GWR (Great Western Railway) certainly know how to destroy a service which you guys are working hard to maintain but with not much support from GWR

28 minutes up to 1 hour and 39 minutes ...

Pre-Ticket Data

This Sunday, Melksham to Swindon - normally first service is at 08:44 (09:12 into Swindon) but this Sunday it's a bus to Chippenham at 08:55 and a train that doesn't get to Swindon until 10:34. Why? What should I do if I want to start work at 10:00 in Swindon?

19:29: Thank you for chatting with me today. As I have not received a reply from you for some time now, I am going to have to end the chat. If there is anything further I can help with, please do not hesitate to come back to me.

Not impressed.  Failed to answer the question (just confirmed what I had told her on the web site).  Straight after that 19:27 response it came up "Emma C is typing" again so I waited ... and as the next message came up in just two minutes,  perhaps she went straight into "close the call" mode ...

The moaners on the GWR (Great Western Railway) twitter page are now friends with the twitter team giving them free food vouchers or having a laugh. Personally think it’s a good relationship between the ‘regulars’ and the company.

That’s good to hear that people recognise it’s not the person at the end of a Twitter feed who is to blame when things go wrong; they are just the messenger.

As for Graham’s experience. I suspect Emma C works for an agency typing what you ask into National Rail Enquiries and is based in Bangalore.

I’m sure if you ask when the next train from London to Manchester is running you will have a satisfactory customer experience; something you can easily do yourself. Anything more complicated than that then you are on a losing wicket to get the information you are looking for.
