As something of a TransWilts Community Rail Officer swan song, I'm posting a link on the TransWilts Facebook page to a quiz "places you can go from the TransWilts" - all my own pictures taken on my travels that started by train from Melksham Station within the last six months

For Coffee Shop members - please try it out and let me know of any errors before I launch it on what I suspect will be a far less forgiving wider audience than I have hear.   This thread totally open for discussions / comments suggestions - no need to worry about spoilers.   Enjoy!

Better give you the URL: http://www.passenger.chat/destinations/

Needless to say, there are typos. I spotted Lyndey, Dubin, and Mawwdch. Given the randomised presentation, I fear you may just need to read through the whole set slowly.

Thanks for those ... I have corrected them (and some others I have found).    I have taken all the answers, sorted them, and  them reduced them to uniq answers to help me shop the same thing spelt in two ways.  Found beauties such as Abwrdeen ... please post any more that crop up - I think I have sorted out most now!

13/15. A couple of wild guesses that came good.

13/15. A couple of wild guesses that came good.

Not all guesses though - here are the some of probabilities if every question is answered randomly
Chance of getting exactly  15 by guesswork is 0.0000%
Chance of getting exactly  14 by guesswork is 0.0000%
Chance of getting exactly  13 by guesswork is 0.0000%
Chance of getting exactly  12 by guesswork is 0.0001%
Chance of getting exactly  11 by guesswork is 0.0011%
Chance of getting exactly  10 by guesswork is 0.0101%
Chance of getting exactly   9 by guesswork is 0.0672%
Chance of getting exactly   8 by guesswork is 0.3455%
etc.

A mere 8 applying the principles of closely observed trains (which is also a great movie, by the way) where I didn't have a clue.

Last question: Merthyr Tydfil doesn't have a "v" in it, nor does the Welsh alphabet*.  She'll be very upset.

* a, b, c, ch, d, dd, e, f, ff, g, ng, h, i, l, ll, m, n, o, p, ph, r, rh, s, t, th, u, w, y.

PS: last six moths?  Did you take them with you?   What happened to the rest?

Fixed ... isn't it just typical that I (think) I got Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch right and missed out on Tydfil!

Months replaced moths in a couple of titles too

P.S.  This quiz is NOT designed for you to get silly high scores. Over half right ain't bad!

Scored 11 out of 15 -- thanks, grahame.

Spotted a typo in the reference to Dublin Connolly.

I'm a sucker for server stats:

79 unique hosts
194 page requests
66 completed and submitted for marking 61 of which had less that 4 questions missed
Average score 10.05 on full submissions
average time taken: 205.52 seconds
median time taken: 157 seconds
count of number of times each score made: [0, 0, 0, 0, 2, 0, 5, 5, 7, 7, 6, 10, 6, 5, 6, 2]
