Not very musical! 11 November this year marks the centenary of Poland regaining independence (the date is debatable and somewhat arbitrary, but that's the official date) and to mark the occasion, Lithuanian Railways have posted a video of the Polish national anthem played on train horns:

(Why Lithuanian Railways? Well I suppose it's a gesture of cross-border friendship and international railway cooperation, or something like that.)

Our trains can just about manage G CCC G C when in Yorkshire, if they are still allowed two tones.
As a celebration of the scrapping of the Severn bridge tolls could we not line up some locomotives on the sidings at Severn Tunnel junction to play Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau and then gather at Pilning to play God save the Queen on New Years Day. Roll Eyes

Welcome to the forum, Olg4 .. I have added an "http" into your quote to make the links work - those short URLs were so short and clever that they fooled our software.

I thought 11/11/18 was also considered the founding date of the three Baltic States; Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.

That would be logical, and would also apply to Czecho/Slovakia. Though Wikipedia says Estonian independence day is 24th February and Lithuania 16th February. Latvia uses 11th November.
