1972-ish?

Don't think you're far out. I have managed to leave my crib sheet at home ... seated in a waiting room on another station again now ... I'll be able to confirm the date overnight.

Checked back - 1970.  And many thanks to SandTEngineer for the use of this picture, and others which will be sprinkled through up to Christmas.  Some very interesting pictures indeed coming up ...

That fence looks like the Midland to me. Somewhere on the Settle and Carlisle?

My understanding from the picture provider is that you are incredibly close!

The north end of Garsdale station?

I am embarrassed.  I made a note of where I though this was / email from the member who has let me use the picture, but I think I may have got mixed up ... so I'm give you a definite "it could be" just for the moment.   I'm having problems placin it at the location I noted down.

Garsdale .. whenever I come across Garsdale I find myself clicking to the story of Graham Nuttall and Ruswarp and shedding a tear or five.

Has to be 2017 or, more likely, 2018?

Clarified by a Red Squirrel (thank you for the picture). Settle and Carlisle, yes.   Garsdale, no.  You could give me two more points of the compass in a correct answer.

As it happens I saw my first ever red squirrel on that trip - at Garsdale Station! Tried to get a picture (now that would have been good!) but the little varmint was too quick for me.

I think it must be Langwarthby, judging by the "points of the compass" clue. As to date, it re-opened in 1986, so some time after then?
