They appear to have found something for the first two.  Excellent ... 17:36 always bust even on a Saturday!

Fine weather, bank holiday weekend ... trains are busy.    Just back from Melksham Station; getting very hard to count, but between 15 and 18 off the 18:48 arrival from Westbury / Trowbridge, with about 9 joining.

Engineering diversions through Melksham this weekend ... with almost a day's notice of the two cancellation above, should be plenty of time to order special stops on 1A80 and 1C85 at the intermediate TransWilts stations, shouldn't there?

So that's a 31% cancellation rate (just 69% of trains running) tomorrow ...  at nearly 24 hours advanced notice, isn't there time to call in a standby?  Not exactly as if someone's failed to turn up for work, is it??

Thank goodness ... "better late than never" ... I was at the station for the previous train up to Swindon ... 15 people waiting on the platform (I think 3 or 4 were just seeing people off) and 5 got off ... so even on the middle day of a bank holiday, middle of the day ... the traffic is there!

Not on Journeycheck yet but the first service to Swindon is still sitting at Westbury while an engineering train is on the single line.

The train should have left at 08:20.

EDIT: Train just left nearly 20 minutes late.

Facilities on the 11:05 Weymouth to Swindon due 13:20.
Toilet facilities are not available.
This is due to a fault on this train.
Additional Information
We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause.

Lack of a loo isn't usually a problem on a 45 minute journey.  As this is over 2 hours, it could be become a wee problem!

Reminds me of the thread that we've got about 165 and 166 units being good for the shorter journeys ... but anyone headed all the way from Weymouth to Swindon might prefer the facilities of a 158 which (darn it) was designed for these middle distance journeys!

Really not a problem ... report from a user at Melksham Station suggests information board may have just been saying "delayed" due to the concerned nature of the text;  as often, the problem seems to be expanded rather than mitigated by what comes on customer information.

No problem provided it makes the Weymouth connection at Westbury
