This has also affected services between Bath and Swindon with a number of London-Bristol-London services diverted via Badminton between Bristol and Swindon:

Quote
Due to a fault with the signalling system between Bath Spa and Swindon trains have to run at reduced speed on all lines.
Train services running through these stations may be cancelled, delayed by up to 30 minutes or diverted. Disruption is expected until 16:00 20/07.

Ta for the update. The 15:14 Westbury to Swindon and the 15:22 Swindon to Warminster services are running via Bathampton for crew and diagramming purposes as these services are used to swap over the units on the Golden Valley services. All of the other services are out and back workings from Westbury and have been cancelled.  Sad

......The axle counters were fixed just after 16:30.

Was this 'inside information' you had, as I'd not noticed anything written on Journey Check, etc?
Just curious, nothing more  Wink

Units across the network are dropping like flies in the warm weather. Melksham loses the following three services;

16:21 Westbury to Swindon.
17:36 Swindon to Westbury.
17:45 Cheltenham Spa to Southampton Central.

Only the busiest train of the day at 17:36 !!

And they really should be proactive for busy trains and not wait for people to call in for replacement!

Replacement should, as you say, be on site at the train time.    How long is it going to take to provide if no arrangements are put in place until passengers call.
