For the future record, these appear to be the ONLY services staffed from Westbury that are cancelled. Bottom of the pile again??  46% cancellation.

So that's 4 out of 18 cancelled so far today - 77% service running, versus 95% plus which would seem to be a low target.  And reliability is what passengers want above everyone else ...

Under investigation ?     You only have to look at another part of Journey Check to see that it was due to "Ambulance services attending".

Yeah ... you try from a ship bobbing about on the sea  Cheesy Grin - thanks for the extra update.   That cause is a forgiven one then ... and that's why we would be happy with 98% running and not demand 100%.   77% is pretty pathetic though ... perhaps a bad day but, remind me, weren't there cancellations yesterday too?

Is this becoming almost daily?

Train Cancellations

18:32 Westbury to Swindon due 19:21
20:08 Swindon to Westbury due 20:49
20:08 Swindon to Westbury due 20:49 will be cancelled.
This is due to a shortage of train crew.
Additional Information
Passengers for Chippenham and Melksham are advised to travel to Chippenham on the 20:32 GWR (Great Western Railway) departure from Swindon, departing Swindon 20:32 arriving Chippenham 20:44 and then road transport will be arranged from there for passengers for Melksham.

Passengers for Trowbridge and Westbury are advised to travel to Bath Spa on the 20:32 departure from Swindon (for Weston super Mare) arriving 21:00 and change there for the GWR departure for Portsmouth departing Bath at 21:36 arriving Trowbridge 21:54 and Westbury 22:03.

No other cancellations at all reported on GWR ... the reporting of alternatives is a step better that used to be, but recommended passengers arrival in Westbury 74 minutes delayed on what should a 41 minute journey is rather sad!

The Passenger Information has now changed , the only info is for Passengers at unstaffed stations to use Help Point etc.,

If they arrive at Swindon slightly early passengers for Trowbridge and Westbury could catch the 2000 service to Bath which connects into a Portsmouth service arriving 2054 & 2100 respectively. Much better

Agreed - if you realise ahead of time, can manage that, and can “blag” acceptance of a “via Melksham” ticket on a train other than the recommended one. If you’re arriving super off peak off the 19:12 from paddington, or rushing from work for the 20:08 as at least one person does ... the 20:00 doesn’t work.
