The 15.15 Bristol Temple Meads - Severn Beach was held at Redland for about 30 minutes yesterday while police were called to deal with an incident of some sort. This led to the train being turned back at Avonmouth, and some subsequent trains were cancelled.

Does anyone know what the problem was?

"Passengers causing a disturbance" according to internal staff communication.

Yes I read that too, or words to that effect... I was wondering if anyone could expand on it. I was on said train (neither causing nor aware of any disturbance, I could add) but got off and walked after hearing a short announcement that it was delayed awaiting police.

i can find no mention of the matter in the local press. You would think someone would have blabbed.
