Does anyone know when the last Class 153's being to go off lease?

It's going to be quite a while, as 5 (I believe) are being retained for the indeterminate future.  As crowd-busters added to the 150s, they'll be able to run beyond the end of 2019 even though their toilet will not be wheelchair accessible - the other loo in the train WILL be.

Scenes such as this - however - should not be seen in a further 19 months

It looks like the Scots may be considering determining where they should go, though ... from The Scotsman

Unsubstantiated rumour that they will be replaced by Chris Grayling and Lord Voldemort....someone will remind me of his real name.... on a gangers trolley dressed in the uniforms of the girls in St Trinians  great train robbery....
We could also have Alastair Sim doing the announcements and Margaret Rutherford in the buffet....but I would not think that passengers of Northern, GTR and GWR would say that it is/was the 'happiest days of their lives'. Or that a slightly dippy Joyce Grenfell would either be writing 'Gossage' on the dusty table in the waiting room or mooning lovestruck after her superior officer (Sammy) in the local constabulary !

Correct.
The Devon Metro alone will lose 6 153s by the summer, it's going to be very cosy.

153 as luggage buffets ... wonderful idea for Heart of Wessex too ... probably not such a good idea on the Cornish branches with the slight problem of how you would get cyclists to Liskeard, Par or St Erth in the first place.

The ScR 5 x 153s should be going from Northern and GWRs 5 x 153s should transfer to TFW in May.   Unless anything changes, of course.
