departs 16:08pm from BTM (Bristol Temple Meads (strictly, it should be BRI)) calling at Port Talbot Neath and Swansea.

Early start for the football followers at 09:23am to bristol temple meads  arrive 11:12am for the 12:30pm kick off.

Shame it can't start from Parson Street.

I presume if it was to start from Parson Street,it would have to shunt towards Ashton Gate(would any GWR (Great Western Railway) driver now have the route knowledge nowadays?)or a Pilotman?

Run to Weston Super Mare and then reverse and come back up the main line.

Curious if any non football travellers would mind boarding a rocket going non stop from BTM to PT Neath or Swansea.

Thanks for this. Here it is from Realtimetrains: Bristol to Swansea in 1 hour 45 minutes.

https://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/service/gb-nr:V90500/2023-01-08

The Swansea to Bristol equivalent's booked to take 1 hour 40 minutes and has a couple of additional calls.

https://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/service/gb-nr:C95767/2023-01-08

Anytime day return from Swansea, £40.10 or £26.45 with a railcard.
