The equivalent thread for 2018 was up to page 32 by this time last year. It just goes to show how much better 2019 has been.
As of today, there are just 7 pages v 32 pages of logs "year to date", 2018 to 2019.Indeed - and things are so much better in many other areas too. Congratulations are due to everyone at
GWR▸ and their suppliers, contractors and associated organisations on the massive improvements we have seen.
* It may seem churlish having made such comment to ask whether things should have been quite such a mess that needed such recovery actions; some issues are inevitable with modernisation and change as it beds in, but this lot has been a "real doozie".
* It is also worth a reminder that although things are so much better, there is still work / there are still things to be resolved and done, and I ask GWR not to relax but to carry on this the excellent improvement work.
*
I hope that we can learn for the experience of service turmoil from which we see signs of significant recovery to help ensure that such service turmoil levels do not happen again, but that the experience does not put anyone off going ahead with further improvements in the future.
