My has Westbury changed since I was there last month!

I think you will find that 4. is "The river Nidd at Knaresborough"

I can probably get a few more but I leave them for others.

Four correction I'll agree, thank you, and edited in.  I've taken a further look at no. 1 and I'm pretty sure it's not The Orme as originally labelled - but I'm pretty sure it's not Saltburn either.

I'd heard something about Westbury getting more platforms ... and felt I'd seen a similar picture somewhere ... but perhaps not (no.2) so, where is it?   And what abut the picture I thought might be Taunton  - sounds like someone knows something there.

Yes, I think so too  Grin

"Funicular", "Cliff Lift" or "Tramway"?  What's the difference / what best fits?  I had an excellent conversation with the operator at Saltburn which I also visited on my trip to the North  East at the start of this month, amongst which I learned that it operates under tramway rules.

4. Teesside Airport

Indeed.

If anyone's headed for tomorrow's 17:00 flight from Teeside Airport to Aberdeen, and is travelling fairly light, there's an idea train arriving at 14:53 from Hartlepool and intermediate stations ... bit of a walk from the station to checkin (which is why I add the "travelling light" comment).

The station could be more useful, I'm sure, if train connections were available to all outgoing flights and from all incoming flights - and a shuttle provided using the turning circle that's already there at the station.  The train service that calls there offers a wide range of connections at Hartlepool (from Sunderland), Eaglescliffe (from Saltburn and Middlesbrough) and onwards for anyone it picks up at Darlington to all sorts of places.  Just needs to call more often and in both directions!
