I'm sure we've all experienced such!

I have recently carried out one of my late mum's last wishes and taken my daughter on a short break to Glenfinnan [she had never been to Scotland and is a huge Harry Potter fan, so, at mum's request.........]

I did think about a 'Where was Phil today' thread, but the location is so well known, that S&TE would have guessed correctly within the blink of an eye  Cheesy

Anyway, before 'the climax to the weekend', we went exploring the bottom end of the Caledonian Canal at Neptune's Staircase, Banavie. At the time, a returning Jacobite was due, so I figured that a head-on, telephoto shot of the train was the order of the day. I positioned myself on the platform and waited.

Oh well, never mind!  Roll Eyes

Anybody else prepared to go public with their most embarrassing outcomes?

Here's what you missed Phil (from 2011)

As for mine, take last Friday.  Walking over the footbridge that takes you to the South Devon Railway at Totnes I heard a train approaching on the main line and thought I'd grab a shot as it crossed over the river.  The sun had other ideas....
