21:22 Southampton Central to Westbury due 22:30

21:22 Southampton Central to Westbury due 22:30 will be cancelled.
This is due to a shortage of train crew.

Additional Information
Customers should use the next service, the 22:23 from Southampton Central to Westbury which calls at Romsey (22:34), Salisbury (23:00), Warminster (23:20), Dilton Marsh (23:24) and Westbury (23:29).

The 21:22 is an interesting train off Southampton.  It's just a few minutes behind the last Portsmouth - Bristol and loads very lightly off Southampton.  It pauses at Salisbury to allow a connection off a train from Waterloo, with folks getting out again at Warminster.  And at Westbury it connects into the final train of the day to Trowbridge, Bradford-on-Avon, Bath Spa and Bristol Temple Meads.

At first glance, perhaps not too big a problem - but look at the connectional issues.  The biggest "ouch" being dropping - admittedly a very few - people at Westbury off the alternative suggested after the last train of the day has headed off north. If it wasn't timetabled, it might not be a problem. Operationally, logical.  As the last advertised journey of the day between cities (Southampton and Salisbury to Bath and Bristol), not clever from a passenger viewpoint.
