Today, The first two down trains failed to reach Weymouth. The first cancelled throughout, the second terminated at Yeovil P Mill. Their return workings also cancelled south of Westbury. In both cases failure of unit.

Yesterday the 06.54 Westbury to Weymouth was terminated at Yeovil 77 mins late having left Westbury 66 late. Although Journey Check was stating that the return would start at Westbury, it left Yeovil right time and kept there or thereabouts throughout.

Apologies, Modified to correct time Sat pm

I suspect so ... today was Saturday so I'm not sure on the timings ... but I really wish it was an 06:64 train - i.e. 07:04 - as that would give a connection out of the train from Swindon onwards to Yeovil and Weymouth. A really sad miss, though it hasn't been a priority to look at for the December timetable.

Today’s (29th Sept) cancellation was the 2O71 Bristol to Weymouth, cancelled at Bath due to engineering works overrunning. It ran back to Bristol as the 2Z06. This meant the return working, Weymouth - Swindon was cancelled south of Westbury. On a damp and dreary day it probably did not have too great an impact, judging on the loading of the next Weymouth service.

Of more concern was the fact that the people I was meeting had a free journey up the previous day. No one came round to issue tickets all the way  from Maiden  Newton to Bristol. On offering to pay at Temple Meads they were waved through the barriers!

Also seen at Maiden Newton was this sign, see attached photo
